Debian 6 Squeeze reboot MacBook Pro

Debian 6 (Squeeze) running on a MacBook Pro would fail to reboot, displaying the message:
Restarting System.

To fix the issue, add the following parameter to the kernel line in your boot configuration:
reboot=pci
